Running Blind for Angel Eyes NI
October 5, 2019 @ 11:30 am – 3:00 pm
VOTED BEST REGIONAL 5K (NI) AT THE UK RUNNING AWARDS 2019
BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND
Running Blind will take place at STORMONT ESTATE, NEWTOWNARDS ROAD, BELFAST on 5TH OCTOBER 2019 – note the change of date.
This year we will again have the popular, undulating, multi-surface 5k route (2 laps), the much more challenging, very undulating, scenic 10k route (2 laps) and for the FIRST TIME – a special, flat JUNIOR run!
Where else will you find a race where you run as a couple, with one of you blindfolded? Yes, run one lap as a guide for your blindfolded partner, on the second lap swap over and do it again! Think it is easy? THINK AGAIN! You will need to trust each other! We will provide everyone with a brand new blindfold.
Don’t want to run as a couple (or in a blindfold)? Then run alone! Everyone is welcome! In fact, you do not even have to run – you can jog or walk if you like. The 5k is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times (Stormont Estate rules).
We are proud to be supporting an amazing LOCAL charity, ANGEL EYES NI, based in Belfast. Angel Eyes support families of children with visual impairment across Northern Ireland. As usual, all proceeds from this event will go direct to our nominated charity; the event is run entirely y volunteers, ensuring everything goes direct to supporting children with visual impairments.
EVERY finisher – children included – will receive our unique, bespoke finisher’s medal, and as always it’s a belter!
Register now to ensure your place – places are limited!
